From October 11th to November 8th, 2024, Dr. Yue Qiang and Dr. Ren Shanshan from the School of Languages and Cultures (School of International Communication and Exchange) participated in the VIP reception team of the 7th China International Import Expo. They successfully completed the tasks with a high sense of responsibility, professionalism, and high-quality services.
During the Expo, Yue Qiang and Ren Shanshan’s responsibilities encompassed translation, coordination, scheduling, and more. They were required to not only familiarize themselves with all Expo arrangements but also swiftly address emergencies to ensure smooth participation of every guest in various activities. During the reception process, Dr. Yue Qiang, leveraging her solid language skills and extensive communication experience, successfully overcame language barriers for the foreign delegation, ensuring accurate information exchange between China and foreign countries. Dr. Ren Shanshan demonstrated flexibility on-site, adeptly handling various unforeseen situations, and ensuring the smooth progress of the reception work. Faced with arduous tasks and a high-intensity work pace, the two teachers maintained a positive work attitude, working in harmony and executing efficiently. Their contributions showcased the wisdom and professional support of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law towards the successful hosting of the Expo.
