Teachers from the School of Languages and Cultures Participated in the International Chinese Education Seminar for Central and South Asia

On August 24th, the International Chinese Education Seminar for Central and South Asia was held in Kashgar, Xinjiang. Chang Lini, Deputy Director of the School of Languages and Cultures (School of International Communication and Exchange), and Weng Xiaoling, Director of the Teaching and Research Section of Chinese International Education, were invited to attend the seminar. Over 70 experts and leaders in the field of international Chinese education from 30 institutions, including Shandong University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, Xiamen University, and Minzu University of China, participated in the seminar.

Associate Professor Weng Xiaoling delivered an exchange speech at the conference, showcasing a series of initiatives taken by Shanghai University of Political Science and Law in international Chinese education to develop “Chinese characteristics, Shanghai features, and SHUPL’s strengths” by relying on the national platform of the “China National Institute for SCO International Exchange and Judicial Cooperation”, Shanghai’s geographical advantages, as well as the university’s distinctive strengths in politics and law and its teacher resources.
